2015 Season

As planned, the Unnatural Redhead Productions 2015 season will consist of five solo productions and four collaborative productions.  Still to come this year are:

Grab Bag 4: Grab Harder!

In a world where life is drab and humdrum… One burlesque show is all that stands between us and total boringness. Previously at the Rendezvous on January 31st, 2015 was Grab Bag 4: Grab Harder! A burlesque revue of acts that push it to the limit!  The show featured burlesque performances by Bolt Action, Jovie Devoe, Cherry Tart, and Scarlett O’Hairdye.  It was hosted by Sailor St. Claire, and headlined by The Shanghai Pearl!

Slash: Burlesque Romance Without Boundaries!

“Noromo? Then GTFO because Slash is a burlesque show that’s all about love in all of its forms! Whether you prefer homosexual hook-ups between genetically engineered supersoldiers and British sleuths, heterosexual pairings of spaceship captains and ex-KGB agents, friendslash between cartoon characters and historical figures, or some good ol’ self-love slash between a young woman and her favorite book*, Slash: Burlesque Romance Without Boundaries has something for everyone to enjoy!”  Slash was co-produced with Jo Jo Stiletto, Sailor St. Claire, and Sophie Maltease on February 13th, 2015 at the Re-Bar Seattle.  It featured burlesque performances by Al Lykya, Ariel Echo, Baby Le’Strange, Dizzy Von Damn, Eddie Van Glam, Flirty Sanchez , Maxie Milieu, Ms. Briq House, Randi Rascal, Redd Kryptonite, Scarlett O’Hairdye, Sophie Maltease, Tootsie Spangles, Bolt Action, and Iva Handfull and was hosted by Sailor St. Claire.

Planet XXXpress: A Futurama Burlesque!

Good news, everyone! The minds behind Accio Burlesque! and The Venture Bras! teamed up to bring you a new burlesque play! Professor Farnsworth gave the Planet Express delivery crew the day off so he could spend it messing around with his What-If Machine, but his plans for a peaceful day of conjecture were foiled when Mom showed up intent on weaponizing the gadget!  The three shows were held May 15th and 16th, 2015 at the Rendezvous Jewelbox Theater, and featured acting and burlesque from Bolt Action, Artemis Lark, Lowa DeBoomBoom, Ariel Echo, Vanadium Silver, Dezi Desire, Penelope Rose, Alexa Perplexa, Dizzy Von Damn, Sailor St. Claire and Scarlett O’Hairdye.  The show was written, directed, and set designed by Scarlett O’Hairdye and was sponsored by Atomic Cosmetics. Scary White Girl Designs, Box of Oddities, and Happy Brain Design.


Mash/Up!  A burlesque exploration of unique pop-cultural and musical combinations!  What happens when performers take the things they love and smash them together into something new?  Audiences found out, thanks to the performing talents of Bolt Action, Mitzy Sixx, Maggie McMuffin, Miz Melancholy, Lady Drew Blood,  Ms. Briq House, and Scarlett O’Hairdye.  The show was headlined by Burgundy Brixx, Vancouver’s Reigning Burlesque Queen, and hosted by Rebecca Mmm Davis.

Pussies Galore!

Pussies Galore!  More cat-theme burlesque than you can shake a bra at! was performed at the Rendezvous Jewelbox Theater on August 1st, 2015.  It featured performances by  Closinda Quake, Maggie McMuffin, Crystal Tassels, Sin De La Rosa, Lowa de Boom Boom, Scarlett O’Hairdye, Dizzy Von Damn, and Portland’s Zora Von Pavonine.  Pussies Galore starred The Forever Girl, Miss Kitty Baby, and was hosted by Sailor St. Claire and Maxie Milieu as Big Edie and Little Edie.  The show was sponsored by K-nine Couture, Scary White Girl Designs and Rabid Kitten Creations.

She-Ra! Stripper of Power!  A burlesque play based on the 80’s cartoon She-Ra: Princess of Power, co-produced with Olatsa Assassin Productions.  October 1st and 2nd at the Annex Theater.  The show starred Evilyn Sin Claire as the Evil HORDAK!  It was sponsored by RetroPop Namu, Nice Rice Shop, and Unnatural Redhead Creations, and featured acting and burlesque performances from Satira Sin, Al Lykya, Ruby Darling, Alexa Perplexa, Ms. Briq House, Miz Melancholy, Tout d’Lou, Redd Kryptonite, Maggie McMuffin, Scarlett O’Hairdye, and Olatsa Assassin.

Bechdel Test Burlesque!  Co-produced with Jo Jo Stiletto, Sailor St. Claire, and Sophie Maltease.  October 9th and 10th at the Re-Bar.  Naked. Nerdy. Feminist. This is Bechdel Test Burlesque. The superpowered byproduct of the intersection of feminism and pop culture returns for a sequel! This year, fourteen performers join forces to build a more feminist world through smart, sexy, nerdy burlesque.
